For Architectural Business Owners
Are you an architectural business owner that struggles to find time to work on your business?
Perhaps you planned to spend a morning working on marketing but got absorbed in client work?
It’s hard to prioritise the work that takes you further in the long term, over the urgent calls.
Why does it make a difference?
I didn’t have this when I was starting out. Since then I have joined business groups and it has made a huge difference.
A. Because it means you set aside time to work on your business and are held accountable and,
B. Because you receive support, you’re not alone with business problems anymore!
"I am very motivated to help architectural business owners. It is possible to earn well, do fulfilling work and have time for a proper life outside of architecture! I’ve done it and I want to save you from the mistakes I made getting here!"
Work through the topics in my book directly with me
As well as running a successful architecture practice, Clare Nash helps architectural business owners reduce overwhelm and increase profit. She is the author of ‘Design your Life; An Architect’s Guide to Work/Life Balance’ and 'Contemporary Vernacular Architecture, How British Housing can Rediscover its Soul'. She's a regular speaker at RIBA business events and an Oxford Brookes University business lecturer.
Clare is an architect, mentor, author and garden designer. For 13 years, Clare has run a thriving eco-architecture practice, Clare Nash Architecture, which employs 6 people. She started out with no clients in a recession. Since then, she has gone from being underpaid and burnt-out to earning top fees for the industry. Meanwhile working only a 30-hour week and having a young son. It is possible to feel rewarded, enjoy your work and live well too!
Clare believes that all architects can achieve a good work/life balance. At CNA we all work part-time, remotely and flexibly. But this doesn't need to come as an alternative to healthy profit. The aim is to create a life-giving and profitable practice.
When she is not working Clare is mostly found creating new planting combinations in the garden or on the allotment with her son. She loves country pub walks with her husband.

Clare's support and guidance through this difficult period was invaluable, helping us map out the future direction of our practice. I valued her thoughtfulness and her wealth of knowledge in all aspects of running a business. Though conversations with her, we were able to focus on the clients types we wished to work with and implement strategies that improved the value we as a company could bring to those clients. I would highly recommend working with her – thank you Clare, it has been a real pleasure!”
Martin, Architect Director
I just wanted to say thank you for your help so far, it is really helping me and us as a company. Also I lent your book to one of my staff and her dad read it as well and said it was a really good book.
Graham, Director
When will the virtual meetings be held?
Once a month on a Monday lunchtime, but this can be flexible if the group prefers.
Will the group be full of my competitors?
I will organise it so that architects nearby are not in the same group as you, unless you're happy with that!
Does this count as CPD?
Although not formally registered, this would qualify as structured CPD under 'business, clients and services'.
Do I have to sign up for a full twelve months?
You can stay as long as you like, and leave after a month if it isn't for you.
Where I support you to make more money, develop systems and finally get your marketing strategy together.
Where we hold you accountable to get it done!
A dedicated space where we ONLY focus on the business side.
