Welcome to a practical, mindset-shifting programme for built environment professionals who love their work but feel constantly stressed by lumpy, unpredictable income.
Many business owners think it’s a personal failing (this was me!).
But the truth is: built environment services are project-based, in a delay-prone industry - so cashflow waves are built into the system. The course teaches how to smooth it, predict it, and work with it instead of constantly firefighting.
In this mini-course learn how I improved my cashflow. The changes I implemented that really worked. Download the templates I still use today.

There’s something business owners don’t talk about enough:
The emotional cost of inconsistent cashflow.
Not the spreadsheets.
Not the forecasts.
Not the numbers.
The feeling of it.
That pit of your stomach feeling when you realise a client delay means an invoice won’t come in when you expected.
Or when a planning decision gets pushed back… again.
Or when a project suddenly pauses and you’re left thinking, “Brilliant… now what?”
Meanwhile, everyone around you assumes you’re doing amazingly because you’re busy, you’ve got great projects, and your pipeline looks strong.
But business ownership has a secret no one warns you about:
- You can be busy AND have shaky cashflow.
- You can have profitable projects AND still have stressful months.
- You can be fully booked AND still worry about payroll.
It’s not talked about, but it’s normal.
This mini-course will help you to reduce that emotional load with practical, actionable steps. Not only that, but I'm giving you the actual templates I use to make cashflow so much easier to manage in my own business.

Hello! I’m Clare Nash and I love mentoring individuals and businesses to ‘Design Your Life’ (which is also the title of one of my books).
I have always challenged the status quo
Shortly after getting engaged (when most people would have been planning their wedding), I disappeared! I travelled alone for 6 months, staying in cave dwellings in China, researching gold mine relocation housing in Papua New Guinea and couch surfing my way round South America so that I could carry out research on sustainable housing.
Built environment experience
I spent many years in practice before setting up on my own. I've worked in three different architecture firms ranging in size from 4 people to 100, working on everything from prisons to housing, from maternity wards to schools. In the office I was known for being very efficient and going home on time. Even then, I valued life outside of architecture.
The European edge
I delayed finishing my degree because I was living and working in Germany (and later Liechtenstein) and loved it so much, learning fluent German, that I couldn’t bear to leave. My parents were not happy but it changed my life in so many positive ways, it was worth it!
My Practice
Today, as well as mentoring, I run Clare Nash Architecture (CNA), a thriving eco-architecture and garden design practice, known for its flexible, people-first approach - where everyone works part-time, remotely and with balance in mind.

The Specialism
Back in 2014, I started promoting my specialism in eco-design and barn conversions. Clients and peers seek me out as the expert in both of these areas.
Author
I wrote Design Your Life: An Architect’s Guide to Work/Life Balance and Contemporary Vernacular Architecture: How British Housing Can Rediscover Its Soul. I am a RIBA role model, I regularly speak at large and small events and I lecture on business at Oxford Brookes University.
My Life
When not working, I enjoy experimenting with new planting combinations in my garden or on the allotment with my son, and enjoying long countryside walks ending in a cosy pub or a rock gig with my husband.

James, Architect Director
I found Clare's Design your Life book really helpful - it led me to set up a cash flow forecast a few years ago- something I rejected doing for over 16 years - I now quite enjoy using that as a tool for looking ahead. I've been surviving rather than developing so l'm going to put some work into thinking about all those questions she has raised.
Bravo and thank you Clare!
